Disposable Medical Face Mask
The Type R2 medical disposable face mask comes in a pack of 50. They are designed to be used and then thrown away and the soft woven design ensures a comfortable fit. Our P2 face masks are suitable for use in a variety of settings including communities, during home care and in healthcare. They are water repellent and worn to prevent and control the spread of infection and disease. We also sell the Type 1 (P1) disposable face mask.
Wearing a face mask may help reduce the risk of transmission of disease to others. Regular handwashing, covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, are still important.
How to wear a disposable face mask
Please follow the instructions displayed on the face mask packaging which will tell you how to correctly fit them around your mouth, nose and chin. It is important to wash your hands before and after fitting the mask. Once fitted on the face, you should avoid touching the mask with your hands to help reduce the risk of hand to mask transmission. If you do touch the mask, you should wash your hands again. Our disposable masks should be thrown away immediately after use.
When to wear a face mask
It is a mandatory requirement to wear a face covering in enclosed spaces where social distancing is not always possible. This includes public transport and in shops from 24 July 2020. It’s advised that face coverings do not need to be worn outdoors.
Visit the Health and Safety Executive website for more information on the use of face masks and face coverings.
